Enrique Gelista
External Alliances Lead

I’m Enrique Gelista, a CDMX native, with an educational background in Economics from Universidad Panamericana and an MBA from IPADE Business School. Since 2015, I have been living in the UK, where I work in the banking and finance sector. Despite this, my roots and love for Mexico and Latin America have driven me to actively engage in initiatives to promote our rich Latin culture in the UK.

For half a decade, I co-hosted the radio program ‘Made in Mexico’, where I had the pleasure of interviewing a variety of Mexican artists performing in London. This experience allowed me to establish myself as a Latino presenter at events catering to both Hispanic and English-speaking audiences. I’ve hosted a variety of events, from folklore festivals and tech and business entrepreneurship events to tourism promotions and charity fundraisers.

In addition to my hosting duties, I am a proud member of the Global Network of Mexicans in the United Kingdom. As a community leader, I am dedicated to fostering relationships among Mexicans and facilitating cooperation between Mexico and the UK. I often collaborate with the Mexican Embassy and Consulate. Currently, I am spearheading a mentoring project aimed at supporting newly arrived individuals in the UK who wish to advance their professional careers. If you’re interested in becoming a mentor, please reach out to us.

In June 2020, I launched ‘The Latin America Show’ Podcast. The goal was to bring the best of Latin culture to the forefront and position Latin America as a favored destination rich in traditions, art, history, sports, entertainment, music, beautiful landscapes, and gastronomy. The show is broadcasted in English on Facebook, reaching not just the UK community but a global audience. We’ve had the honor of hosting a wide range of guests, such as Tourism Ministers, Ambassadors, Consuls, entrepreneurs, Chambers of Commerce, musicians, artists, tourism companies, and tour operators, among others.
