I’m Enrique Gelista raised and born in CDMX. I hold a degree in Economics from the Universidad Panamericana and an MBA from IPADE Business School. I’ve been residing in the UK for almost 6 years working int he banking and financial sector, however my passion for Mexico and Latin America has motivated me to participate in many actions to promote Latin culture in the UK.
For 5 years I participated as co-host of the radio program Made in Mexico and had the opportunity to interview various Mexican artists who performed in London. This opened the doors for me to position myself as one of the Latino host presenters who participate in events for the Hispanic and English-speaking markets, appearing in shows and events related to Latin America in both languages. Such as folklore festivals, technological and business entrepreneurship events, tourism promotion events and fundraising events for charity, among many others.
I’m also an active member of the Global Network of Mexicans in the United Kingdom where I serve as a community leader strengthening ties between Mexicans and cooperation between Mexico and the United Kingdom, frequently collaborating with the Mexican Embassy and Consulate.
In June 2020, I started the Podcast The Latin America Show, broadcast every Tuesday at 8pm London time, which aims to highlight the best of Latin culture and position Latin America as one of the the favorite destinations with extensive traditions, art, history, sports, entertainment, music, paradisiacal places, gastronomy, among others. The program is developed in the English language in order to engage and include the community residing in the United Kingdom as well as worldwide as it is broadcast on Facebook. It also, has had the participation of great personalities such as Ministers of Tourism, Ambassadors, Consuls, large and small businessmen, Chambers of Commerce, singers, artists, tourism companies and tour operators to name a few.
