I hold a PhD in International Development and an LLM from the University of East Anglia. I am a member of the Global Alliance of Impact Lawyers (GAIL), Social Value International, Social Value UK and RGMX-UK.
As a lawyer and social science researcher, I assist organisations in navigating the “Just Transition”.
I am the co-founder and partner researcher at INTERHES.org, a non-profit association specialising in Human Ecology, consulting, and implementation services. My professional experience lies in law and international development, where I focus on Social Impact Management based on the concept of “social value”: understanding value beyond financial or economic considerations. I engage people to comprehend the impact of decisions on their lives. I believe that organisations should aim for a net positive effect for a sustainable future. Key aspects of my work involve qualitative data research, Computer-Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis (CAQDAS), and external auditing.
As the Vice President of Red Global MX-UK, I am committed to “instigating” and facilitating new generations of Mexicans settled overseas through sharing experiences and connecting people, particularly students, professionals, and various types of organisations. I contribute to promoting Mexican expertise across Europe and facilitate knowledge transfer. With support from my RGMX-UK colleagues, between 2021 and 2023, I led the project “Transferring knowledge on climate change and circular economy from the Mexican diaspora,” which was funded by the European Union through the EU Global Diaspora Facility (EUDiF). You can find out about it by visiting our initiatives webpage: https://redglobalmx.uk/initiatives/climate-action-sustainability/
On a personal note, I am a long-distance runner and a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys since 1979. I have dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dyspraxia.
