I hold a doctorate in International Development (University of East Anglia, UK). I am a lawyer specialising in financial development with interest in social impact investment and Human Ecology. My focus is on ‘social stock exchanges’. I mainly work with methodologies for qualitative research.

My recent professional experience includes working in the UK as a researcher at the School of Biological Sciences in the University of East Anglia (UEA), at the University of Kent’s School of Law, at the University of London’s Institute of Education (IoE, now part of University College London), and in the consulting company ‘International Development UEA’ (DEVco) at the University of East Anglia. I also work for the Interdisciplinary Institute on Human Ecology and Sustainability (INTERHES).

I am an active member of the Global Network for Mexican professionals abroad (RGMX) in their London-based chapter (RGMX-UK). I participate in various activities with a particular interest in international co-operation for development, academic initiatives involving multiple disciplines, international collaboration, and science outreach. I also participate in the Cluster on Sustainability, integrated by several RGMX’s chapters based in Europe.

I am a member of the Advisory Board of ‘Causa Natura’ (think-tank based in Mexico) and the Quetzalcóatl Rural Development Centre (non-for-profit agency based in Mexico).
